Furniture can make a space more comfortable, useful and aesthetically appealing… but, let’s face it, furniture generally monopolizes most of the space in a room and in some cases, furniture can be treated as a dumping ground for other, smaller items.

I prefer to have more space in my space. With less furniture there is more space to breathe, to dance, play, or do yoga, plus it’s a lot easier and faster to keep the floors clean.

I’ve previously written about magically transforming furniture and hidden spaces. In that article I revealed that I currently enjoy using a transforming desk / bed, and also promised that,

Most furniture is overrated, but this space saving furniture is amazing! This 8 minute video shows many kinds of space saving furniture. They have acquired a collection of various designs that spark the imagination. These wonderful creations allow one room to be easily used for many different purposes.




This space saving furniture is wonderful to use anywhere, but especially in places where rents or mortgages are extremely high and the living areas are very compact.

Watching the transformations is like a series of magic tricks. Did you see anything that made you go, “Wow!” ?

The oldest low-tech solution to multipurpose furniture is still the lovely humble hammock, but if you have the money, or space, or skill to build it yourself, this assortment of amazing space saving furniture is really incredible.
