Minimalist living is simply letting go of the things that we don’t need or use. The point is to streamline our space and clear our minds, to make our lives easier. When we remove the clutter from our homes and unnecessary obligations from our schedules, we are reestablishing control, so that our own stuff doesn’t preoccupy our attention. Since we know that we are the ones responsible for our happiness and our accomplishments, we arrange our belongings and our schedules so that they best serve the results we want to see in our lives. The main thing is to not be preoccupied with doing too much, or distracted by material things. In essence, it’s about living lightly, with less baggage.
