ABUNDANT = more space, money, time, freedom & focus
MINIMALISM = less clutter, no debt, fewer complications, obligations & distractions

Self Improvement not Home Improvement

Whenever we feel that something is missing, our culture encourages us to look OUTSIDE of ourselves for the solution. We are taught to blame either other people, or other things, rather than take control of the situation ourselves.

The solution is within us

In a consumer society, when we are dissatisfied with our lives, we have been conditioned to first think of buying something new to make ourselves feel better. If we buy a new haircut, or a new outfit, or a new car, or redecorate, then we’ll be content. But because those are only surface solutions, the real discontent remains and demands to be pacified over and over again.

Not Easier, Better

When we take the more difficult challenge of changing ourselves, rather than our stuff, then we can achieve some significant – lasting satisfaction in our lives. The truth is that it’s definitely not as easy, but if it was, it wouldn’t feel so amazing when we succeed. We need to remember that we can be more and do more than we have been told.

Rather than surrounding ourselves with distractions and amusements, we are creating a truly abundant life that is focused on what is most important. Our passions, our purpose, working toward making our dreams come true. Clear the decks to have maximum adventures with minimum obstacles. Now is always the perfect time to take responsibility to fulfill the highest destiny we can set for ourselves. By making ourselves proud, in doing so, maybe we even inspire others to do the same.

Collect joy. Gather incredible experiences.

Buy … knowledge, inspiring ideas, and invest in our strength, determination, integrity… not more physical stuff, which is just more clutter to junk up our space and distract our minds from our true aims.
